David ThimmVice President / PrincipalThe College for Creative Studies opened the door for David’s love of art, fabrication, and craftsmanship that has enabled the creation of new products that are enjoyed for both their aesthetic and functional value. David started his career for a small automation equipment manufacturer and then joined Sundberg-Ferar in 1995 as an industrial designer. At S-F, David’s work on a diverse set of projects created market value, several design and utility patents, and many great relationships. In 2002 David left S-F to join Johnson Controls Automotive Experience Group. There he helped design and develop the value story for the Leap™ automotive seating concept. While at JCI David managed the Design Studio for both the Ford and GM business units, and also managed the New Product Strategy Seating Design Team for North America. David re-joined Sundberg-Ferar in 2008 and became a Vice President and Principal in 2009. |
